This BEST EVER CHILI RECIPE has been a beloved family dish for years. It’s incredibly easy to make and absolutely delicious—a must-try for every family!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (16-ounce) package Jimmy Dean Sausage Roll (any flavor works; we prefer spicy)
  • ½ cup sweet yellow onion, chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 2 pounds ground chuck
  • 1 can (8 ounces) tomato sauce
  • 1 can petite diced of tomatoes
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 can of black beans, drained
  • 1 can of red beans, drained
  • 2 teaspoons cider vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 package (1 ounce) Original William’s Chili Seasoning
  • ¼½ cup ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon prepared yellow mustard
  • ½1 teaspoon salt (or to taste)
  • ½ teaspoon ground black pepper

Possible Toppings:

  • Chopped onions
  • Hot sauce
  • Sliced jalapeños
  • Shredded cheese
  • Crackers
  • Sour cream
  • Cilantro
  • Any other toppings you love!

Instructions

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the sausage and crumble it as it cooks. When it is almost fully browned, add the onion and garlic. After this,Sauté until the onion becomes translucent, about approximately 2-3 minutes. Drain any excess oil if necessary and set aside.
  2. Place the ground chuck in a Dutch oven and crumble it using a wooden utensil. Cover the meat completely with water and bring it to a boil. Boil the meat until it turns brown. Drain the beef using a colander and return it to the Dutch oven.
  3. After this,Combine the sausage and onion mixture with the ground chuck and stir well.
  4. Stir in the tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, both types of beans, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, chili seasoning, ketchup, mustard, and salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Stir well and cook the chili over medium-low heat for at least 1 hour, stirring often, until it thickens and the flavors meld together.
  6. Serve with your favorite toppings, such as chopped fresh cilantro, chopped onions, cheese, crackers, hot sauce, sliced jalapeños, or any other toppings you enjoy.
