Description

A hot toddy is perfect for a cold night, especially when you’re feeling under the weather. This warm cocktail is my go-to remedy for a nasty cough and a classic cold. It’s easy to make, much tastier than cough syrup, and once you learn how to make it, you’ll find relief in no time!

Scale
  • 2 ounces whiskey or bourbon (choose a good quality—you deserve it!)
  • 1½ tablespoons honey
  • 4 ounces water
  • 2 teaspoons lemon juice
  • 1 cube crystallized ginger (optional)
  • 1 slice fresh lemon (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the whiskey, water, and lemon juice.
  2. Microwave for approximately 1 minute, or until piping hot.
  3. Stir in the honey and add the ginger if you’re using it.
  4. Garnish with a lemon slice and enjoy—you and your cold deserve this treat!
