Why We Love Caramel Apple Sangria

Caramel Apple Sangria is the ideal fall drink for Thanksgiving or any chilly autumn evening. It was one of the first popular drink recipes on Culinary hill, and despite some outdated photos, it set the standard for our site. I’ve updated the pictures but kept a few old ones because my dog Scout was just too adorable. This Thanksgiving Sangria recipe inspired me to turn this blog into a business, and I hope you enjoy it as much as we do!

As autumn approaches, I’m officially in love with Apple Pie Sangria. It’s simply amazing—it tastes like the changing leaves and the anticipation of Christmas! (I know I’m being dramatic, but it really is that good.) It’s simple to make, requires only a few ingredients, and has even impressed beer drinkers. If you want to be the star of your holiday parties, try this Caramel Apple Sangria!

Caramel Apple Sangria is the perfect fall sangria recipe! Make this Apple Sangria for Thanksgiving or any chilly autumn night.

Here’s young Scout in 2013, helping me make my first batch of Apple Pie Sangria when she was just 4 years old! We’ve been making it ever since!

Ingredients

Over the years, we’ve created many favorite cocktails on Culinary hill, but I always return to Apple Pie Sangria. This year, I swapped club soda for ginger ale and stuck with my original favorite, caramel vodka.

As the flavors blend over time, it gets tastier and tastier—making it the ultimate party drink. While I love all my cocktail recipes, this one is my favorite and probably always will be.

Before starting the blog, I thought making sangria was complicated and something I’d only order at restaurants. It’s actually very simple: just mix juice, vodka, and wine!

Tips for Making Standout Caramel Apple Sangria

When making Apple Pie Sangria, I usually let it chill in the fridge for 2-3 hours and then add two cinnamon sticks about an hour before serving. Since the cider already has a hint of cinnamon, you don’t need too much spice. (You can also add the ginger ale right before serving for a bubbly effect.) Make sure to stir well to blend all the flavors!

This Thanksgiving Sangria disappears quickly at every holiday party. It’s one of our favorite holiday recipes, and people always ask for the ingredients because it’s so unique and delicious. Luckily, it’s easy to make! I hope Apple Pie Sangria finds a place on your Thanksgiving table this year—there’s no better fall sangria recipe!
